Online Resources Relating to Biblical Studies

​Academic Bible  - Academic Bible says, "Our online Bibles are the official Internet editions of individual academic biblical texts. They are always the most up to date versions." The versions include the Hebrew Old Testament, the Greek New Testament, the Biblia Sacra Vulgata, and the Septuagint, among others.

Bible.org – Check out the NET Bible Study tool. See passages in original Greek or Hebrew as well as in different English translations. There are also electronic resources by various authors. Under ‘Resources’ you can find materials for Men’s, Women’s, Children’s and Pastoral Ministries.

Bible Hub  –  Bible Hub features topical, Greek and Hebrew study tools, plus concordances, commentaries, dictionaries, sermons and devotionals. You will find more than 20 versions of the Bible and more than 30 commentaries including Barnes, Expositors, and Pulpit Commentary.

Bible Study Tools -BibleStudyTools.com is the largest free online Bible website for verse search and in-depth studies. Search verses using the translation and version you like with over 29 to choose from including King James (KJV), New International (NIV), New American Standard (NASB), The Message, New Living (NLT), Holman Christian Standard (HCSB),English Standard (ESV), and many more versions of the Holy Bible. Our rich online library includes well known and trusted commentaries including the popular Matthew Henry Commentary, concordances like Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and Naves Topical Concordance, Bible dictionaries, Biblical encyclopedias and historical Christian and church books.

Bryan College Library Comprehensive List of Public Domain Bible Commentaries - Public domain biblical commentaries that are found in Archve.org, Hathi Digital Trust and Google Books.

 

Lexicity - Lexicity describes itself as, " The first and only comprehensive index for ancient language resources on the internet." Resources for everything from Greek and Hebrew to Syriac and Coptic.

Odyssey - A free online Bible encyclopedia created by the Society of Biblical Literature. Offers art, photographs, video, essays, maps, and scriptural text.

Open Access Digital Theological Library – The mission of Open Access Digital Theological Library (OADTL) is to curate high-quality content in religious studies and related disciplines from publisher websites, institutional repositories, scholarly societies, archives, and stable public domain collections. OADTL collects content in religious studies without regard for theological or confessional perspective.

Perseus Digital Library – The mission of the Perseus Digital Library is to “make the full record of humanity – linguistic sources, physical artifacts, historical spaces – as intellectually accessible as possible to every human being, regardless of linguistic or cultural background.” This site includes many texts of classical and other literature (including the Old and New Testaments in Latin and Greek). Click on ‘Greek and Roman Materials’ at the top of the page for resources from Bible times.

Post-Reformation Digital Library  - A collection of full-text digital books by post-reformation theologians of all Christian traditions.

Reformed.org - "Reformed Theology and Apologetics is dedicated to providing biblically sound online resources for the edification of God’s church, and the conversion of the nations to Christ’s glory." Reformed.org offers numerous online resources related to Bible/study tools, Creation and Science, Church History, Eschatology, Ethics, Theology, Pastoral Theology, and so much more.

Studylight.org - Online Bible study tools, language tools, historical writings, pastoral tools, and daily reading plans.

Theology on the Web - Theologyontheweb.org.uk seeks "to make high quality theological material available freely throughout the world, thus providing Bible teachers and pastors with the resources they need to spread the Gospel in their countries." There are numerous resources dealing with Biblical studies, theology, and church history, as well as many full-text journals.
